A man has been stabbed several times in Sydney’s southwest early Tuesday morning.

Police and emergency services were called to Sir Joseph Banks Street in Bankstown at about 12.20am, following reports a man was seriously injured.

Officers were told the 19-year-old was stabbed on Waterloo Road in Greenacre before being taken to Bankstown by someone known to him.

The man was treated for stab wounds to the back and leg before being transported in a stable condition to Liverpool Hospital.

Police have established crime scenes at both locations.

No arrests have been made.
