One of Australia’s most influential superannuation funds has put Mineral Resources on notice over the corporate governance crisis that has raised doubts over co-founder Chris Ellison’s chief executive role.

Industry fund HESTA, which controls nearly $90 billion in member assets, is pressuring MinRes to “take the necessary steps” in the wake of revelations of Mr Ellison’s historic tax avoidance and allegations his related-party dealings with the company disadvantaged shareholders.
