With simply days to go till the photo voltaic eclipse, the Waterloo Region District School Board has introduced that colleges might be closed to college students on Monday.
The transfer comes as an about-face. On March 6 the board issued a launch that stated colleges would stay open.
The WRDSB introduced that call regardless of boards throughout the province, together with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, asserting that colleges will shut for teenagers’ security.
The public board says it made the change after listening to considerations from dad and mom and workers concerning the eclipse.

“Concerns for student safety have always been at the forefront of the decision-making for this day,” a launch from the college learn. “The initial decision to have a regular school day was one we felt was possible, given the safety protocols we were prepared to implement.
