Sunday, March 1

West Coast’s defensive stocks have taken another big blow with Harry Edwards suffering a concussion in their pre-season clash against Port Adelaide.

Edwards copped a heavy hit early in the second quarter and was pulled out of the game after undergoing a HIA assessment with Lucca Grego replacing him.

It will mean Edwards will miss the Eagles’ round one clash against Gold Coast on March 15, as he will not have completed the minimum two-week protocols.

The Eagles are already sweating over several of their first choice defence with Liam Duggan (concussion), Reuben Ginbey (toe) and star Brandon Starcevich (calf) all missing Sunday’s clash.

Co-captain Liam Baker will also be unavailable due to a suspension from last year.
