West Coast Fever training partner Caitlyn Brown has made WA Netball League history after becoming the first player to win three Jill McIntosh Medals as the competition’s fairest and best.
Brown polled 19 votes to beat out Western Roar teammate Chelsea Bartlett and Fremantle Sharks goal attack Sophie Eastough by five votes.
The 25-year-old defender becomes the first-ever triple winner of the prestigious award, having also won it in 2022 while at the West Coast Warriors and last year.
She goes ahead of Donnell Wallam (2019 and 2020), Andrea Gilmore (2015 and 2017), Cath Devitt (2004 and 2005) and Peta Simeon (1990 and 1994).
Brown signed on as a training partner for the Fever before this season and was named as part of the 10-player squad for the first time in their round three win over the Melbourne Vixens and was part of Fever’s reserves premiership earlier this year.
The goal defender will also be part of the Roar team looking to claim consecutive premierships when they face off against the Comets at Gold Netball Centre on Saturday.
Western Roar’s Max Denholm won the Men’s division’s fairest and best, while Souwest Jet shooter Lily Knight claimed the 21 and under award.

For the first time a Players’ Player Award was presented to each division with rising star Scarlet Jauncey from West Coast Warriors claiming the open division award, Denholm the men’s award and West Coast Warriors defender Ava Buselich the 21 and under award.
Brown (Goal Defence) and Bartlett (Goal Keeper) were named in the team-of-the-year alongside Jamaica Jauncey (goal shooter), Sloan Burton (goal attack), Numi Tupaea (wing attack), Clara Wigley (centre) and Gardenia Asiata (wing defence).
Southside Demons Head Coach Josie Janz-Dawson received the GIG WANL Coach of the Year Award, after she led the Demons from finalists in 2024 to the preliminary final this year.
Wigley shared the 19 and under state team MVP award with Kate Cunningham, while Albany Youngster Keely Berry won the 17 and under state team MVP.
