Perth residents are in for a sunny long weekend, with temperatures expected to stay around 30C.
Despite the southern suburbs forecast to experience some rain on Wednesday and a slight chance of a shower on Thursday morning, the Bureau of Meteorology has forecast beautiful weather conditions for most of the week.
Saturday is forecast to be the hottest day of the week as temperatures reach a max of 33C and Monday will be the coolest, with a maximum temperature of 26C.
Further north, a tropical cyclone sitting well off the coast of Exmouth has reached category-four intensity.
Severe Tropical Cyclone Bianca developed over the Indian Ocean and is not expected to have any direct impact on the Australian mainland or any island communities.
However, the Bureau of Meteorology has urged mariners to read the coastal waters and high seas warnings.
“Bianca is currently at its peak intensity but weakening is expected during Tuesday as conditions become less favourable, with the system likely to fall below tropical cyclone strength on Wednesday while remaining well west of the state,” the Weather Bureau said on Tuesday morning.
A hurricane-force wind warning has been issued, with wind gusts expected to be a lot stronger than average.
“Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 per cent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
“All ships in the area please send weather reports every three hours.”
