Italian archaeologists found a “practically intact” steel battle helmet throughout a latest search within the Ionian Sea.
The Superintendence of the Sea (SopMare), a Sicilian governmental group liable for defending historical artifacts in sea waters, introduced the invention on Thursday. The object was present in waters outdoors Vendicari, a small island on Sicily’s southeast coast.

The statement adds that teams will continue searching the area for more information.
