Sarepta Therapeutics — The biopharma stock soared 37% after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted approval for an expanded use of Sarepta’s Elevidys gene therapy , which would treat patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The therapy was traditionally approved for all patients 4 years or older who are able to walk, with accelerated approval given for those who cannot walk. Nike — The athletic clothing maker moved 1% higher following an upgrade at Oppenheimer to outperform from market perform. The firm also reinstated Nike as a top megacap pick, saying that the stock is poised to rebound gradually as the company refocuses on product innovation and brand-building. Asana — Shares popped more than 3% after the software firm announced a $150 million share buyback plan. The company expects its stock repurchase program to continue through June 30, 2025. Gilead Sciences — The pharmaceutical stock rose more than 2.6%, building on a rally of 8.5% from the previous session. On Thursday, Gilead announced that an HIV-prevention shot succeeded in a late-stage trial . LendingTree — Shares of the online lending marketplace were marginally lower after Bloomberg reported that hackers are now auctioning off stolen data from the site. LendingTree was the victim of a cyberattack against cloud computing firm Snowflake. Apple — Stock in the iPhone maker ticked up following a price increase from Bernstein.
