Andie, who has skilled minor quakes over the three years he has lived in Taiwan, defined: “What you are alleged to do is to attend at a spot the place nothing’s going to fall in your head. 

“I chose the archway between my living room and kitchen because the wall there is more solid. And if the house collapsed, I’d be near my kitchen where there’s food and water.”

Once the primary quake was over, Andie grabbed his telephone and pockets earlier than heading downstairs to contact his spouse and kids. 

While his youngsters’s trainer confirmed the youngsters had been positive and gathered on the discipline, he couldn’t contact his spouse as she had left her telephone at house. So he went again to his house to attend for her.

He shared that it was solely after he noticed his neighbour wanting pale that he realised how extreme the earthquake was.

“You see, Singaporeans don’t know,” he chuckled. “It’s the same for me, I didn’t know how bad the situation was. In my mind, I thought, ‘Okay, just stay safe first’.”

“If even the Taiwanese are freaking out, you know this is not normal,” he mentioned. 

As for the damages to his house, he shared he had misplaced many crystals on his Asian Television Awards trophy, and that Kate’s Star Awards trophy was chipped. But the “most heartbreaking” injury was to his iMac as its display was “completely smashed”.
