WA Police officers have been seen sweeping up thousands of empty bullet casings on a major road in Perth’s eastern suburbs.
Almost a dozen officers and contractors were spotted clearing the bizarre debris using dustpans and brooms at the intersection of Guildford Road and First Avenue in Maylands about 10am on Friday.
The casings were photographed scattered on the road and on a median strip.
Police were also seen diverting traffic.
