Perth Zoo’s favourite dingo duo are officially on the nice list after meeting Santa on Christmas morning.

Siblings Sunny and Luna swapped their usual enrichment walk around the zoo for a special visit to Santa’s Cabin on Thursday morning where they met Santa and his elves.

“Walks around the Zoo are an important part of Sunny and Luna’s routine,” a Perth Zoo spokesperson said. “Enrichment like this keeps them active and engaged as they discover new sights and smells.

“Just like pet dogs, sniffing and exploring, is a natural behaviour that provides mental and physical benefits.”

Perth Zoo’s precious animals have been spoilt this festive season, with orangutans Sungai, Lestari, Utama and Pulang showered with presents on Tuesday.

The presents — which were hand-decorated by their keepers — contained the primate’s favourite treats such as vegetables, popcorn, sunflower seeds, coconut and rosemary.

Perth Zoo is open every day of the year, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
