A man has been shot outside a cafe in Melbourne’s west overnight, sparking a manhunt for the gunman.
The 49-year-old was shot at Cafe Squared, on Borrack Square at Altona North, about 11.30pm on Tuesday.
He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the offenders fled the scene in a vehicle, which was found on fire at the nearby intersection of McArthurs and Chambers Rds about 2.50am on Wednesday.

Forensics crews remain at the scene of the shooting early Wednesday.
No arrests have been made.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are ongoing.
