KUALA LUMPUR: A light-weight plane has crashed close to Kapar, a city in Selangor, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) mentioned on Tuesday (Feb 13).

In a press release, CAAM chief govt officer Captain Norazman Mahmud mentioned that two folks together with the pilot had been on board the plane that crashed close to the city in Selangor’s Klang district.

“Their conditions have yet to be confirmed,” he mentioned.

The Air Accident Investigation Bureau below the Ministry of Transport will examine the incident, he added.

According to Captain Norazman, the plane, operated by Air Adventure Flying Club, departed from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Selangor, at 1.28pm (5.28am GMT) for a leisure flight. The plane was a Blackshape BK160 Gabriel with the license plate I-POOC.

“Last contact made by the aircraft with air traffic control was at 1.35pm, however, there was no distress call received,” Captain Norazman mentioned.

The Kuala Lumpur Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre on the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre was instantly activated to find out the placement of the plane, he added.
