The London Heritage Council in partnership with Tourism London is asking for memorabilia donations for the Labatt Memorial Park Collection on the Rob McKay clubhouse. Almost all of the artifacts within the clubhouse are borrowed from the group.

The memorabilia donations are meant to be a part of a extra everlasting assortment on the park. Labatt Memorial Park was inbuilt 1877 and is the world’s oldest frequently working baseball grounds.

From outdated ticket stubs to posters, baseballs to jerseys, the council is aiming to protect the heritage of the park.

“Anything and everything. If you have a connection to the park or a connection to baseball, if your father or grandfather played on a team, anything connected to the park would be awesome to share,” says Terri Smale, government director of the London Heritage Council.

Labatt’s Park has hosted not less than one baseball recreation yearly because it opened, even in the course of the pandemic.

“We are so fortunate to have this historic venue right in the heart of our city, and it’s important that we preserve its history and heritage,” says Smale. “Labatt Park has an incredible history.”

The park has been house to The Tecumsehs, Majors, Tigers and extra groups over its centuries of operation. But it doesn’t simply host baseball video games. It has hosted soccer, horse leaping and different occasions because it opened.
