A Sydney author has been found guilty of producing child abuse material over an erotic novel which describes a relationship between a man and his friend’s younger daughter.
Lauren Mastrosa was charged over the fictional novel “Daddy’s Little Toy” which she published under her pen name “Tori Woods” and pleaded not guilty to one count each of possessing, disseminating and producing child abuse material.
During a hearing in Blacktown Local Court last year, her legal team argued that the character in question was 18 throughout the entire book.
However Magistrate Bree Chisholm on Tuesday found her guilty of all charges.

During the trial, the prosecution argued the book “infantilised” the 18-year-old protagonist, Lucy.
They argued she was described as having child-like interests and appearance.
A police officer who was tasked with reading the book told the court it contained depictions of an older man “wanting” a three-year-old.
Mastrosa’s barrister Margaret Cunneen SC argued before the court it was always clear the character was aged 18 throughout the book, even if she was wearing child-like clothes at times, and that there was never an implication she was three.
Ms Cunneen further argued the relevant legislation was not intended to apply to authors of erotic fiction and fantasy role-play material.
Mastrosa will appear in court for sentencing proceedings in April.
