Firefighters are working to contain an out of control blaze currently threatening lives and homes in Perth’s hills.

A bushfire prepare to leave warning is in place for residents of Jane Brook, Red Hill, and Swan View.

At 2.57pm on Sunday, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued the alert for areas bounded by Old Toodyay Road, Adams Road, Huntsman Terrace, Talbot Road, and Taaffe Road within the City of Swan and Shire of Mundaring.

Firefighters are on the ground, actively battling the blaze. Despite their efforts, the fire remains uncontained and continues to present a serious threat.

Conditions are changing rapidly — authorities are warning residents that the situation could worsen at any moment.

“Leaving the area now is the safest option,” the alert read.

As firefighters continue to battle the blaze, the community is urged to remain vigilant.
