Borg’s down.

IB’s still working, and they still have a TV channel. But try to load some data on a Bloomberg Terminal, and you won’t see much.

In fact, even the screenshot function is currently dead, forcing us to recreate an image of the main view manually:

FT Alphaville would like to wish the best of luck to all the traders currently being forced to have conversations with their colleagues.

Update 10:15am ish: The UK’s Debt Management Office has had to extend an auction window, the Top News page is loading but doesn’t seem to have any new news, our mailbox is loading… really slowly. Of all the moments in history, this is one of them.

Update 10:31am ish: Pages are now somewhat reliably loading for us but s l o w l y.

Update 10:48am ish: POSH and RICH won’t load for us. DINE, the restaurant guide function, will. Hannah Gobran, macro FX sales at JPMorgan and May’s top reviewer, describes London’s Bottarga as “Mediterranean at its finest”. Bloomberg’s Kevin Lam rates Crosstown Donuts a “maybe”.

Update 10:58am ish: We’re so back. In that everything is still laggy but we can load a price chart for LSEG, which is down about 0.3 per cent.

Update 11:14am ish: It appears the European Union also delayed an auction during the Borgpocalypse, big news if you’re into that kind of thing.

Update 11:27am ish: It seems the þe werste is paste. We’re still excited to see the Bloomberg News write-up of this if/when it lands, but until then we simply hope you all coped fine during these troubled times.
