The finalists for the WA Education Awards 2024 have been announced with Baynton West Primary School recognised in the excellence in school leadership category.

The WA Education Awards celebrate the achievements of public schools in Western Australia, delivering positive outcomes for all students.

“We believe that everyone leads and should be able to shine in their respective roles, whether as a student, a teacher, a cultural expert or a member of the support staff,” Baynton West PS principal Lisa Ledger said.

“The synergy created by all of us working together to achieve little things every day creates magic for our students.”

The winning school in each category will be awarded $20,000, and three finalists in each category will take home $5000.

“The high standard of nominations received for the WA Education Awards this year shows the fantastic work our leaders, teaching and support staff are doing in WA public schools,” Education Minister Tony Buti said.

“It’s great to see schools from all over the State recognised for their dedication to innovation, and for their exceptional achievements.”

Winning schools will be announced at a presentation breakfast on Monday, November 11.
