An abnormality found in the heart of Colleen Rebelo was the type which could be linked to a cardiac arrhythmia — which in turn could have caused a sudden and unforeseen collapse.

That was the theory put forward on Friday in the trial of her son Andre Rebelo, who is alleged to have murdered her before quickly trying to claim on a life insurance policy he himself had taken days earlier.
