A Kendenup man who denies stabbing his brother in the chest four times, leaving him in a life-threatening condition, will fight the charge in District Court.

Aaron Peter Davis pleaded not guilty to aggravated grievous bodily harm in Albany Magistrates Court on Thursday, appearing via video link from Albany Regional Prison.

Police arrested the 47-year-old in March after he allegedly stabbed his half-brother four times in the chest with a paring knife.

He allegedly told his brother “I’ve had enough of you and your s…” before inflicting life-threatening stab wounds.

The mother of the two brothers administered first aid to the victim.

Magistrate Erin O’Donnell denied Mr Davis bail on April 11, expressing concern over a comment he made after his arrest that he would stab his brother “better next time”.

Mr Davis will appear in Albany District Court for trial allocation on January 15.
