Police have laid fresh charges in the horrific case of a Sydney mum who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered, after her remains were found in a burnt-out car.
Police allege 45-year-old Thi Kim Tran was abducted from her Bankstown home on the night of April 17 by a group of masked men.
The woman was allegedly then stripped naked and forced into the back of an SUV.
The SUV was later found ablaze on Welfare Avenue in Beverley Hills, with Ms Tran’s remains discovered inside the burnt-out vehicle.
During the incident, an eight-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted with a baseball bat before Ms Tran was forced into an SUV.

“Inquiries established the woman and children were likely targeted as a result of her partner’s involvement with an Organised Criminal Network based in Victoria,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
In August, one man was charged over Ms Tran’s alleged murder and he remains before the court. Police have now laid charges against three more men, aged 32, 20 and 21, at Parramatta Police Station.
All three were charged with murder, conspire and agree to murder any person, wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, kidnap in company with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and participate in a criminal group.
Police will allege in court the men were part of a “kill crew”, tasked with finding and killing Ms Tran’s husband.
“When they couldn’t find him, the men allegedly murdered Ms Tran and injured their son,” the spokesperson said.
