Move over Cinderella and Prince Charming — there are new royals in town, stealing hearts, rocking ballgowns and sporting sharp suits.
Little Telethon stars Jordan Blair, 9, Xavier Summers, 8, Izzy Miller, 5 and Paige McIllree, 8, got to take playing dress ups to a whole new level at Karrinyup Shopping Centre under the guidance of their very own fashion fairy godmother, stylist Natalie Dignam.
From sequin-studded gowns to velvet suit jackets, top hats and even designer bags — the fashion palace (aka Karrinyup) rolled out the red carpet for the little legends.
Paige and Izzy twirled in their princess dresses and glittery heels while Jordan and Xavier opted for less sparkle, but there was no shortage of style in their noble looks.
Over the past two weeks, Ms Dignam waved her magic wand to help each of the young stars prepare for their big moment of Telethon stardom.

While she admits she’s not usually the sentimental type, Ms Dignam said it “brought her to tears”.
“First was Jordan who’s really into his music and he is a casual, cool dude so we opted for a dinner blazer with some chinos and a shirt and some white sneakers,” she said.
“Xavier the second little star, he really wanted to wear a top hat and with a top hat I feel like the best possible thing to match is a tuxedo so he ended up picking a really cool navy blue tuxedo.
“Paige absolutely fell in love, literally like love at first sight, with a really teared bright blue crystal tulle dress… as she walked into the room within about five seconds she locked eyes with that dress and was like that’s it, that’s the one I want and so she tried it on.
“She got a gorgeous little sparkly denim jacket to go with it and some little heels… she had the kind of experience that anyone hopes to have when you just see the one that you love and it fits like a glove and all the stars aligned because it was the only one left in the centre.
“The last of the Telethon stars Izzy, she loves pink, purples and sparkle so she ended up choosing a purple layered dress.
“She opened the curtain and she said I love it and just had the hugest smile on her face and did a twirl and I actually had a cry, I genuinely was brought to tears like she just looked so thrilled and it was really beautiful.”
Paige told her mum, Natalie McIllree, that being styled was “the best day of her life”.
“She thoroughly loved it,” Ms McIllree said.
“She was offered a choice of about 10 different costumes and she honed in on one beautiful big blue dress and didn’t even look at the others so the stylist nailed it as to her personality, she didn’t take her eyes off the dress.”
Ms McIllree said Paige has been looking at her dress every day since she got it dreaming about the moment she gets to wear it again.
“Her dress is a huge . . . dress, it is bigger and buffier and more outrageous than any dress up she owns, she feels like a true princess in this instead of just dressing up like a princess she really feels like one,” she said.
“She told me she wants to wear it the whole weekend but I’m not sure that’s gonna be possible. It’s a very heavy dress and I’m not sure how she’ll manage but she wants to wear it the whole time.
“I haven’t allowed her to put it on again yet but it’s hanging in a position where she can see it every day.”
Each fitting, Ms Dignam said, was like “watching the kids in a dream.”
“Little kids don’t get dressed up, they don’t need to be dressed up too the nines in the normal everyday life and they were all just like eyes wide, big smiles, just genuinely so excited and happy to see themselves and what they were wearing,” she said.
“The girls were twirling and the boys you could just tell that they felt really cool and really comfortable.
“It was like living out a fantasy for them, that is my interpretation of how they felt in the moment.”
