The Ontario Provincial Police say a teenage girl is dead and three other girls were hurt after a single watercraft collision on an Ontario lake.
OPP said they were called to Lake St. Clair near Coutour Beach in the Municipality of Lakeshore, just east of Windsor, on Thursday at around 2 p.m.
First responders rescued four teens from the lake with the help of nearby residents, OPP said.
A 17-year-old girl from Essex County was taken to hospital where she died from her injuries, police said.
OPP said a 16-year-old girl was taken to hospital but was then airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

A third and fourth teen, a 15-year-old girl and 17-year-old girl, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no other watercrafts involved.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Several marine incidents reported in Ontario this summer
The OPP have put out several press releases regarding marine incidents, as well as drownings across the province this summer.
The OPP reported at the end of July that 10 people have died in marine incidents in eastern Ontario so far this summer — more than double the number recorded by this time last year.
The warning comes amid a series of devastating incidents that have already taken place in Ontario waters.
At a provincial park beach in Lake Erie, a 35-year-old man from Woodstock, Ont., drowned while trying to save his daughter. She survived, but his body was recovered the following day.
In another tragic incident, an 18-year-old swimmer was pulled from Ipperwash Beach unresponsive and later died in hospital.
Then, just days later, a 44-year-old man died after diving from a boat into shallow water, the second fatality there in the same week.
