The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has cleared London, Ont., police within the deadly capturing of a 35-year-old man this summer time.
On July 21, 2023, police have been referred to as about an tried armed carjacking on Edmunds Crescent within the Pond Mills neighbourhood.
More 911 calls have been positioned shortly after a couple of man with a gun within the backyards of houses on Glenroy Road, straight west of Edmunds Crescent.
Officers evacuated the highway and warned the general public of a person believed to be “armed and dangerous.”
While on scene, police say they discovered that somebody had been taken to hospital with a gunshot wound believed to have been brought on by the suspect.
The suspect reportedly went into a house after which barricaded himself within the storage, in line with the SIU.
An officer reportedly shot on the suspect, who was rushed to hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.
SIU director Joseph Martino says he discovered “no reasonable grounds to believe a London Police Service officer committed a criminal offence” and that the file is closed.
