Nova FM is back at the top of the radio ratings as listeners tune out of 6PR and 96FM in prime-time slots, the latest survey shows.

New GFK radio ratings released on Tuesday for the June to August period show Nova is Perth’s most listened to radio station.

Breakfast trio Nathan Morris, Nat Locke and Shaun McManus have gained 0.9 per cent of listeners following a 4 per cent drop in audience to 15.5 per cent during April and July.

Nova also gained more listeners across all other time slots but experienced a 0.1 per cent loss over the weekend.

Nine Radio’s 6PR dropped listeners in its breakfast and drive slots, with 96FM also experiencing a significant decrease in its ratings across all shows.

6PR breakfast duo Steve Mills and Karl Langdon lost 0.5 per cent in their ratings while afternoon host Oliver Peterson lost 1.8 per cent.

Meanwhile, 96FM had its biggest tune-outs during the breakfast and drive time slots at 2.2 per cent and 2.4 per cent respectively.

As Perth’s most listened to station from April and July, 96FM has been dethroned by Nova this time round, moving into second place at 13.7 per cent.

In the third spot is Mix 94.5 at 11.4 per cent, with its afternoon show losing the most audience at more than 2 per cent.

Rounding out the top four is Triple M at 10 per cent, despite losing 0.9 per cent of listeners, with the biggest hit affecting the morning show.

Breakfast duo Xavier Ellis and Dani Shuey, who is filling in for Katie Lamb, dropped by 1.1 per cent but still keep the second spot on the key early morning time slot.

Over on the AM band, ABC radio remained steady, with small increases in audience share after growing most of this year.

Breakfast host Mark Gibson increased by 2 per cent, while Afternoons’ Jo Trilling saw her audience pick up by 0.2 per cent following last survey’s fall to 3.6 per cent, the lowest point so far this year.
