A car rollover and collapsed tree have caused traffic chaos on a major Perth freeway on Wednesday morning.

Motorists on Stirling Highway eastbound are facing huge delays after a vehicle rolled over at Hampden Road in Crawley just before 7.30am.

The crash has caused traffic to reduce to a single lane.

Emergency services and DFES are currently on scene.

Main Roads WA have confirmed traffic is heavy on approach due to lane closures, with drivers in the area urged to proceed with caution.

Commuters travelling northbound on Stirling Highway also face delays, with a tree collapsing onto the major road just before Tydeman in North Fremantle.

Main Roads WA has confirmed the left lane has been closed to motorists.

There has also been a crash on Leach Highway northbound, near the entry to Tonkin Highway.

Traffic is slow on approach with the entry ramp being reduced to a single lane.
