Four people were inside a home as it was sprayed with bullets and then set alight in Sydney’s west overnight.
Emergency services were called to Wendy Close in Cabramatta about 12.45am Thursday following reports of a fire.
Police found a house and a white Toyota station wagon on fire.
While fire crews were able to extinguish the flames, the house and car sustained significant damage.

Police were told they heard a number of gunshots being fired, with bullet casings found across the property.
It is understood the fire was lit on the front veranda of the property.
Four occupants were inside the home at the time. A 57-year-old woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation, while the other three were unharmed.
“Police have declared a crime scene and commenced an investigation,” a statement read.
