A woman in her 60s has had a narrow escape after a car smashed into her bedroom window as she was sleeping.
Police are investigating after a white Toyota HiLux utility struck the home in Duncraig about 9.25pm on Wednesday.
“As the vehicle turned into Poynter Drive the vehicle struck a house located on Poynter Road,” police said.
“The impact caused the bedroom window to shatter and the frame and supporting wall of the room collapsed inwards. A woman in her 60s was asleep in a bed in the room at the time.”
The woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and police inquiries are ongoing.
Firefighters provided structural support to the home.
