Police with long-arm firearms have been involved in a dramatic search of Crown casino on Sunday morning, following reports that a gun was pointed from a car towards another driver in Burswood.

Although no firearm was discovered, police offices found a cigarette lighter shaped like a handgun in the toilets of the casino food court after conducting a thorough search of the premises and reviewing CCTV vision.

The drama comes after police received a report at 10am alleging that a firearm was pointed from a white station sedan on Teddington Road towards another driver.

Several police units were then deployed to the area, and a vehicle matching the description was later seen entering the Crown Casino car park on Bolton Avenue.

Two males were seen exiting the vehicle and entering the casino, where officers from the Regional Operations Group later located the men on the gaming floor, taking them into custody.

Police confirmed no firearm was seen on the gaming floor.

Perth detectives are continuing to investigate the incident. The two men are assisting police with inquires.
