An Australian kids sunscreen has been recalled over safety fears the products separates and does not provide protection from the sun.
Cancer Council Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ has been pulled from shelves by the product manufacturer Vitality Brands Worldwide.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration issued an alert, warning the product may appear to have an uneven texture and visible water separating out of the product.
“If this happens, the ingredients are no longer properly mixed,” the alert read.

“If the product is separated, it will be more difficult to spread evenly on skin, and could reduce the overall performance of the product.
“This could affect the SPF of the sunscreen and may cause inadequate sun protection.”
The products are the latest in a growing list of Australian-made sunscreens recalled since consumer advocacy group Choice conducted an investigation that uncovered some of the nation’s bestsellers did not contain the advertised SPF content.
About a dozen Australian sunscreens have been recalled or pulled from sale since the bombshell report was released in June.
Consumers were advised to not to use the sunscreen from any of the affected batches and to return it to the place of purchase or contact the manufacturer for a refund.
The batches included Cancer Council Sunscreen Clear Zinc Kids SPF50+ 110g 1143730 August 2027, 1141313 June 2027 and 1146857 November 2026.
