A child booster seat has been urgently pulled from shelves due to fears of serious injury or death.
The ACCC issued an urgent recall for the backless booster seat for children six to 12 years that was available for purchase at Direct On Sale online.

The seat was sold between May 1 and April 30 this year.
It has been urgently pulled after failing to comply with the mandatory safety standards for child restraints for use in motor vehicles.
There is a “risk of serious injury or death if the vehicle abruptly stops or is in an accident”, the recall statement read.

Customers have been urged to stop using the seat immediately and return the item to 6 Chevrolet Rd, Cranbourne East, Victoria 3977 for a full refund.
“Include your order number (if available), name, and address in the parcel,” the recall said.
“Send an email to [email protected] with proof of purchase and courier receipt.”
